Description

The Project generally consists of the following major items: Remove existing HVAC system for the High Service Pump Station Electrical Building. Install new HVAC system for the High Service Pump Station Electrical Building. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. The Owner may make such investigations as he deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish a list to the Owner of all sub-contractors that are intended to perform work on the project. By submission of his Bid, the Bidder acknowledges the right of the Owner to make such investigations, to contact references and utilize this information as a basis of determining award of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contained therein. Each Bidder must provide documentation with his bid to demonstrate complete project experience. A current reference list with name, company, and phone number for each project must also be supplied. The Bidder shall also provide the name and experience of the project Superintendent for this project. The project Superintendent shall have been directly involved in one or more of the above-mentioned projects. The Bidder shall also provide, for the project above and the proposed project superintendent, any history of litigation, arbitration or other related mediation actions. Bidder must provide plan and schedule for the project to be substantially completed on or before March 31, 2023. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Each bid must also be accompanied by a notarized non-collusion affidavit for the bidder. Out-of-state corporations and other entities must submit evidence of authority to conduct business in Georgia as an out-of-state entity. Each bidder must provide a registered State of Georgia General Contractor License or a State of Georgia Utility License at time of bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise.
