| Description | Replace the existing asphalt entrance drive (approx. 75LF) located at 21 White Rose Lane in York, SC. The work shall consist of: 1. Remove deteriorated top six (6) inches of existing 75 LF of asphalt entrance drive starting at White Rose Lane with the face of the asphalt cut being straight and vertical, (approximately 165 SY). 2. Grade and proof roll the disturbed aggregate base course prior to beginning hot mixed asphalt work. 3. Coat the sides of the cleaned and dry existing cut asphalt pavement and curb and gutter with a thin uniform coating of asphalt tack material (meeting SCDOT 2007 Standard Specification) just before the hot mixed asphalt is placed against them. 4. Replace total 6" of material with 2 lifts of 2" thick hot mixed asphalt intermediate course (type C per SCDOT 2007 Standard Specification) and 1 lift of 2" thick hot mixed asphalt surface course (type C per SCDOT 2007 Standard Specification). Provide asphalt plant tickets to the City Engineer by the end of the project. 5. Thoroughly compact each layer with a vibratory compactor and pneumatic roller. Ensure the finished surface of the intermediate or surface course is smooth, of uniform texture and the surface course is graded properly to drain. | ||||||
