Description | For the Lump Sum and Unit Prices bid under the various Contract items, the Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor required to perform work to install a 16"x 8" tapping sleeve on DeMott Lane, install approximately 110 LF of Concrete Lined DIP Class 52 water main from tapping sleeve across Easton Ave, and install an 8" x 8" tee at an existing water main on the north side of Easton Avenue. Backfilling of trenches shall be as described in the Specifications, and as directed by the Public Works Manager and Somerset County Director of Public Works. The Contractor shall be responsible to pass bacteria and pressure test of the newly installed and charged water main. Before placing into service, the Township shall use a third party NJ State certified testing laboratory. 1 Install 8-inch DIP CL Water Main Pipe 2 Install New 8-inch Diameter Gate Valves 3 Install 16" Tapping Sleeve w 8" Tapping Valve 4 Install 8" x 8" Tee 5 Final Mill and Overlay per County Detail 6 Soil testing fees 7 Traffic Control 64 MH 8 Allowance for Work Unspecified Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Cindy Belanger, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Office at the Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873, clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to Franklin Township, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. *All Bid Addenda and bid tabulations will be issued on the website and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23(c). All interested respondents should check the website from now through bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. |
