Truetown Test Plant Relocation

This project consists of a relocation of an existing Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) treatment facility located at Corning Village Park, 132 S. Valley St. Corning, Ohio 43730 to the aforementioned site along Truetown Rd. The current treatment facility consists of three (3) tanks of various sizes and materials along with various piping, components both electrical and water related in nature, and support structures that shall either be relocated or removed completely. Relocation of the test facility shall not commence until construction of an access road & apron and 50’ x 15’ concrete pad are completed for the facility to transplant to. The test facility shall be set up to test treatment of water supplied from a mine shaft of a known underground mine complex that is currently emanating mine drainage into an onsite channel. A flow monitoring flume shall also be constructed within this mine drainage channel. Prior to completion, the site will be regraded. Once the site isfinal graded it shall be fertilized, seeded and mulched. Additional work items shall include but not limited to clearing and grubbing of approx. 0.75 acres, installation of geogrid, dewatering, installation of vinyl sheet piling, construction of a chain link fence, installation of a water pump and waterline, various electrical installation and wiring, forming and pouring of concrete, culvert installation and requisition of off-site borrow material.
