Rutgers University Building Demolition and Alterations at Records Hall

The scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following, 1. Provide temporary protection, barricades, signs and signals around the work areas. 2. Coordinate all work with non-structural demolition to be performed. 3. Demolish and remove portion of existing building as shown on the drawings. This includes, but is not limited to the removal of: existing walls, windows, roof & mezzanine, existing structural framing, existing slab on grade, existing piers and footings, existing stairs, and accessories to these items. 4. Demolish and remove existing reinforced CMU and concrete vault. 5. Selective demolition of existing slab-on-grade as required to install new end wall curb, columns, braces, and foundation assemblies. 6. Review conditions at new proposed end wall with engineer prior to shop drawing and fabrication. 7. Field measure and submit shop drawings for new end wall to engineer for review. 8. Install new foundations, turndown, curb, and slab on grade at new end wall and brace locations. 9. Install new structural steel end wall elements. Install new corrugated metal wall panels to enclose gable end of existing building to remain. 10. Remove temporary protection, barricades, etc. from site. 11. Clean adjacent surfaces affected by construction. Repair and restore any damaged surfaces or landscaping.
