Window Replacement and Canopy Construction

The County of Beaufort, North Carolina ("the Owner") requests bids from qualified, experienced contractors for the removal and replacement of twenty-five (25) existing metal and wood windows, the construction of one (1) new canopy over 2nd floor entrance door, and roofing replacement/wood repair on two (2) existing canopies over rear entrance doors at the Beaufort County Courthouse Annex located at 111 West 2nd Street - Washington, NC 27889, Contractor shall construct one (1) new canopy over 2 nd floor door on east side of building. Canopy shall be constructed as similarly as possible to the existing rear door canopies (photos in Exhibit 4). Roof shall be gray -ribbed, coated, minimum 29 Gauge-metal, supports shall be 3.5" x 3.5" wood with decorative details, canopy underside shall be bead board. Canopy shall be painted to match existing canopies with one prime coat and two finish coats,Contractor shall replace roofing on two (2) existing canopies on rear of building to match that of the new canopy. Rotten wood shall be replaced and painted to match. Contractor shall remove twenty-five (25) windows located throughout the first and second floors of the building. Windows to be removed are circled in photos in Exhibit 3. Removal will include the entire window assembly down to the rough opening, including sashes, stops and hardware, window frame, inside and outside trim
