Race Street Bridge Floor System Replacement Project

To perform construction services associated with the Race St. BIN 3354580 Floor System Replacement Project. The work involved in this project will be situated in the Hamlet of Schenevus, New York. The OCHD is proposing to replace most of the existing Core-Ten steel components (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.), as well as the actual bridge deck, which will consist solely of lightweight concrete, and not receive asphalt surface treatment. The OCHD will close the road during the course of construction operations, via an off-site detour. The contracted portion of the project shall include, but not necessarily be limited to: demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing asphalt concrete deck & steel pan, all of the existing Core-Ten steel components (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.); and the subsequent installation of new galvanized steel superstructure components (floor beams, stringers, connection angles, etc.), elastomeric bearings, and placement of SIP forms and lightweight concrete deck; all bid items are described & shown in the contract drawings. The OCHD shall be responsible for the removal, storage, and re-installation of the existing bridge rail (and any approach guiderail which is required to be removed for the successful completion of the project); and for the installation, maintenance, and removal of all signage necessary for an off-site detour.
