Reconstruction of the Existing Final Closure Cap System and Leachate Collection Systems Upgrade Project

The project consists of the following general scope of construction services noted below. 1. Mobilize equipment and workforce; 2. Establish work limits; 3. Establish perimeter Erosion & Sediment (E&S) control silt sock/fence control measures; 4. Construct Sediment Basins South and West and inlet/outlet structures and stabilize/ revegetate the basin slopes and surfaces; 5. Reconstruct CS-2 leachate collection riser; 6. Reconstruct CS-1 leachate collection riser; 7. Initiate removal and stockpiling of vegetation and topsoil layers; 8. Provide off-site soil material meeting project specifications for use in the reconstruction of the landfill final cover system; 9. Construct work access road across landfill area for cover soil vehicles haul route; 10. Initiate placement, grading and compaction of supplementary final cover soil material; 11. Construct stormwater diversion channels as final cover soil layer construction progresses; 12. Complete placement, grading, and compaction of supplemental final cover soil material; 13. Haul from onsite stockpile, place and grade topsoil material over the areal extent of the completed supplemental final cover soil layer; 14. Prepare final cover soil layer surface and hydroseed all surfaces with seed and fertilizer mixture for revegetation; 15. Maintain, repair, replace (as necessary) E&S perimeter control measures and monitor basins & outlet works for project duration; 16. CQA Consultant to perform as-built survey of completed supplemental cap;
