Welding Lab Addition

Project no-070799.010, 24950D-1-0522-02 Except as modified by other parts of the Contract Documents, The original provisions of General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, AIA Document A201, 2017 Edition, shall remain in full effect. The following Supplementary General Conditions shall be considered as additions or modifications to the original provisions. A bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in accordance with Chapter 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond for one hundred (100%) of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject each and every bid, and to waive informalities and errors in bidding to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipts of bids. Primary construction features a. Demolition of existing CMU walls to create openings into the new welding lab. b. New CMU walls where indicated. c. New steel framing, beams, joists and metal deck as indicated. d. Acoustical deck in the welding lab as indicated. e. New custom fabricated welding booths. f. New Polished concrete floors in the welding lab. g. Vinyl enhance tile in classrooms. h. Ceramic floor tile and base in restrooms as indicated. i. Patching and repair of existing linoleum flooring to accommodate new construction. j. New Paint on all walls and soffits, exposed steel and exposed deck. k. All welding equipment as indicated. l. All furniture as indicated. m. Plumbing, mechanical, electrical, technology, fire suppression and fire alarm systems as indicated. n. Welding exhaust system as indicated. o. Underground utilities, paving, grading, fencing and other sitework as indicated The project consists of the construction of a new welding lab addition and partial demolition of existing walls as noted. The size of the new welding lab addition is approximately 9,450 square feet and is located at 3525 North State Route 48, Lebanon, OH, 45036.
