Description | The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Region 10 - California-Great Basin Region Acquisitions Office, Sacramento, CA intends to issue a solicitation for a construction project titled, "Trinity Dam Hemispherical Bulkhead Refurbishment." The solicitation will include a liquidated damages clause, as well as a requirement for bid, performance, and payment bonds. The performance period is 365 calendar days to complete. Work is located at Trinity Dam approximately 8 miles North of Lewiston, California, in Trinity County. Information pertaining to site visits of the work site will be addressed in the solicitation. The acquisition will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14. The IFB will be issued on or about June 28, 2022, with bids due on or about July 30, 2022. The anticipated award date is on or about September 16, 2022. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The Government will evaluate bids in response to this solicitation without discussions and will award a contract to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government considering only price and the price-related factors The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Small Business size standard for this code is $39.5 Million. This notice is not a request for offer and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $1 Million and $5 Million. PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK 1. Removing, refurbishing, and installing intake Cover Sections and Bulkhead Assembly 2. Guide Frame Assembly testing 3. Seating the Bulkhead Assembly and associated underwater work 4. Transporting the Bulkhead Assembly and intake Cover Sections to and from the refurbishment location. The IFB will be issued via electronic posting on the Government-wide point of entry (GPE) webpage, sam.gov (formerly fedbizopps). Hard copies of the IFB will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor sam.gov for the release of the IFB, specifications, drawings and all subsequent amendments. Offerors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov and obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number to be eligible for award.
