Description

As of June 8, 223, project was awarded to Fire Equipment, Inc., awarded amount not available. Plan deposits may be electronically paid or by check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. The work is estimated to cost $337,513. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 Filed Sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received until on and publicly opened online, forthwith. SUBTRADES NONE Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. The Project consists of: For the combined 667-1 & 2 development to upgrade, as required, the existing FACS to meet the current Mass. Building Code requirements as well as any local code requirements as required by the local code official and the West Boylston Fire Dept (WBFD). The FACS shall be maintained as an addressable FA system with central monitoring. There is currently one FA system for the combined 667- 1 and 2 developments. The West Boylston Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the 667-1,667-2, 689-1 Fire Alarm System Replacement/ Improvements, #305056 in West Boylston, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by BLW Engineers, Inc. For the 689-1 development (two "special needs" residential buildings), to provide a full fire alarm upgrade of these two buildings which will meet current Mass. Building code requirements as well as any local code requirements as required by the local code official and the WBFD. The fA system shall be fully addressable with central monitoring. There is currently one FA system for both building at this 689-1 development. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Electrical, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Request for waivers must be sent to DhCD (David.McClave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 OR 10 calendar days prior to the General Bid date if the work is estimated to cost $500,000 or more.
