Description | The Town of Cary is soliciting bids for the installation of an above-ground fuel storage system for use by Town of Cary vehicles. The fuel storage system will consist of an above-ground storage tank (AST) that will be located at the Fred G. Bond Metro Park, at 801 High House Road, Cary, North Carolina 27513. The AST and associated appurtenances will be located within the on-site maintenance facility for fueling small off-road equipment such as tractors, riding mowers and similar vehicles. AST construction standards are addressed in the North Carolina Building Code, Chapter 22 of the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code (IFC) and the National Fire Protection Association Standard 30 and 30A (NFPA 30 and NFPA 30A). Within the Town of Cary's jurisdiction, Cary's Fire Department administers Section 105 of the IFC, including inspections and permitting of ASTs which store flammable liquids.
