Description | The Building and Grounds Department of the Tribe is requesting bids from qualified vendors to provide roof removal, repairs, replacement, and installation services for the existing roof at the two story McDaniels Ranch House (Off-Reservation). Project completion within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days of receipt of Purchase Order from the Tribe. Question Deadline 10/10/2022 at 5:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK: 1.1. The Building and Grounds Department of the Tribe is requesting bids from qualified Contractors to remove, replace, and dispose of the existing sloped roof with a dimensional asphalt shingle roof system and the low slope roof to be replaced with a modified bitumen built up roofing system on the two (2) story McDaniel’s Ranch House located at 33103 County Road 833, Clewiston, Florida 33440. 1.1.1. General: 1.1.1.1. The Contractor must bring their own ladder which can safely reach both a one (1) and two (2) story structure with a minimum reachable height of twenty (20) feet recommended, or lift apparatus in order to access the roof to obtain accurate measurements of the site. The Contractor is responsible to measure the entire roof surface, and estimate the materials needed to complete the job. Contractor shall verify all measurements in the field, all measurements included in this solicitation package are for reference only. Contractor shall be responsible for providing pricing based on the actual field measurements and site conditions seen during the mandatory pre-bid conference. 1.1.1.2. The Contractor may access water spigots located on the outer perimeter of the house but will be required to provide their own hoses. 1.1.1.3. The Contractor is responsible for providing their own source of electricity; i.e., a portable generator. 1.1.1.4. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, ladders, and other equipment required to complete the work. The Contractor shall also supply any additional labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the safe delivery of the equipment to the project site. 1.1.1.5. The Contractor shall provide portable toilet(s), to be located at a designated area at the project site. The appropriate rotation of the portable toilet(s) is required. The Contractor must be on site for the delivery, rotation, and removal after the completion of the project. 1.1.1.6. The Contractor is responsible for the removal, hauling away, and environmentally responsible disposal of all debris. 1.1.1.7. After and during installation, the Contractor is responsible for cleaning-up the entire project site and surrounding area for debris and use a magnetic device to pick up all loose nails, fasteners, and other metal objects around the roof surface and ground surface area. 1.1.1.8. The Contractor shall remove all rental equipment, scaffolding, hoist(s), lifts, ladders, portable generators, dumpsters, portable toilet, etc. off the premises upon project completion. 1.1.1.9. The Contractor should be aware that the property is located in a wilderness area, and will require caution to avoid potentially dangerous wildlife, including snakes and alligators. |
