Perform Cyclic Maintenance on Shark Valley Tower

This project will address vegetation trim and or prune around Shark Valley Observation Tower and Comfort Station, a historic Mission 66 building. All vegetation underneath and near the tower shall be trimmed/pruned. Map is shown below to highlight the area that the vegetation shall be treated. Vegetation shall be trimmed/pruned inside and outside the perimeter of the ramp area to reduce the elevation of the trees to provide views of the cultural landscape, and to stop encroachment of vegetation of further damaging the historic structure. The vegetation trimming/pruning area shall be conducted within the Shark Valley Slough wetland area. Wetland grounds shall not be disturbed throughout the duration of the project.
