Description | Design-Build Contractor provides all the necessary engineering, project management, labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, services, components and disposal to complete the replacement of existing HVAC units, insulation and ceiling specified to the satisfaction of the Owner. The awarded contractor must meet and follow all Federal Grant requirements. All work will require permitting and inspection. Contractor will be responsible for repairing any walls, floors, ceilings, electrical, plumbing and structural that is removed or altered to its current or better state upon completion. Civic Center 100 E Caroline St Tavares, FL 32778. VAV Terminal Boxes 1. Demolish existing 7 Terminal Boxes. Contractor responsible for hauling off all demolition debris. 2. Procure and install 7 new Terminal Boxes or engineered equivalence to meet building heat load requirements. Units will need to meet current energy, mechanical and building codes. 3. Units will need to be compatible with existing Trane chiller unit and Controls. Closed Loop Plumbing 1. All closed loop plumbing lines are to be replaced Starting from the first floor mechanical room to all new terminal boxes. All valves are to be clearly marked and numbered on close out documents. Ducting and Air Distribution 2. Re-use existing air distribution network where applicable. All existing duct work will need to be re-insulated and sealed to current codes. All VAV boxes and Heating Boxes will need to be engineered to meet current heat loads and building codes. All return and supply registers are to be replaced. 3. After completion, entire building (new and existing) will need to be tested and balanced to meet current energy, mechanical and building codes. Controls 1. All Controls connected to the specified terminal boxes will need to be replaced and connected to the existing Trane platform controlling the chiller plant and recently replaced terminal box on the first floor. Programming and graphics will need to be added for each terminal box and connected VAV’s, Valves and sensors. |
