Whitney Regional Park Continued Improvements - Phase I - PK.24.01 - City of St. Cloud

Provided recommendations from 2017 Park and Recreation Master Plan for Whitney Regional Park to include: New construction, updating and replacement of playground and walking trails/paths. Removal of old airport runway and replace with parking lot/green-space. Restore and replace aging infrastructure, concession building and restrooms, baseball, softball and soccer fields. Replacement of dry wells, irrigation, drainage, fencing, dugouts, field lighting, scoreboards. New construction for additional concession/restroom building. Add new tennis/pickleball courts. As of June 16, 2022, this project is included in the City of St. Cloud FY 2022-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
