| Description | This sale consists of a 259-acre clear-cut and a 24-acre marked select thinning within the sale boundary. Harvesting of all merchantable pines and hardwoods as well as chipping of all tops, non-merchantable pine, and non-merchantable hardwood is required in the clear-cut area. Only unmarked pines are to be harvested in the Withlacoochee River BMP primary zone thinning area. Hardwoods and blue painted pines in the thinning area should be left undisturbed. The District Project Manager will routinely make an assessment of the timber harvest to ensure the objectives are being met. | ||
