Description

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn except as provided for by law. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law, La. R.S. 37:2150.1 through 2164, as amended. Preference may be given to materials, supplies and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana in accordance with law. The Owner reserves the right, in accordance with law, to reject any and all bids. Bidders have the option to submit bids electronically in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2212 A(1)(f)(i). Please find bid related materials and place electronic bids at portal. Visitors on St. Tammany Parish Public School campuses are required to check in at the front office of the school. If there are any questions regarding this project, please contact the St. Tammany Parish Public School System Construction Department at 985-898-3287. COMPLETION TIME: The Bidder shall agree to fully complete the contract within Sixty (60) consecutive calendar days, subject to such extensions as may be granted in accordance with the Contract Documents, and acknowledges that this construction time will start on or before the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed from the Owner. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The Bidder shall agree to pay as Liquidated Damages the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 ) for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not complete, beginning with the first day beyond the completion date stated on the "Notice to Proceed". Said sum shall in no event be construed to be a penalty; but only as damages fixed and agreed upon in advance. CONSTRUCTION CLASSIFICATION: Bids will be accepted from Contractors who are properly licensed for the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction, (see La. R.S. 37:2156.2 for classifications).
