6400 Tank - Floor Replacement and Cathodic Protection Improvement

The work to be performed by the selected Contractor for the 6400 Tank – Floor Replacement & Cathodic Protection Improvements Project will generally consist of the following scope. The Work includes, but may not be limited to: • Completion of contractual obligations, including bonding and insurance requirements and applicable permitting. • Mobilization, installation and removal of temporary facilities, materials storage area, erosion control best management practices. • Complete demolition and disposal of existing steel floor within the tank. Tank Volume: 1.1 MG Plate: ¼-inch A283D Steel Tank Floor Diameter: 78-Ft. Height: 32-Ft. • Temporary Structural Support of Tank • Grading/earthwork and subfloor soil compaction and conditioning. • Furnish and Installation of Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System. • Installation of new subfloor drain and inlet/outlet piping (10” Steel) and yard piping connections to the existing site piping. • Furnish and Install replacement floor plates. • Surface Preparation/Abrasive Blasting of new steel floor and impacted coating on tank shell. • Coating of New Interior Floor, and impacted tank shell areas. Coating System – Sherwin System would be preferred as interior of 6400 was recoated in 2019. Prime Coat: Sherwin-Williams Corothane I Galvapac 1K Zinc Primer (3 mils DFT) Finish Coat: Sherwin Williams Sherplate PW Epoxy (20-25 mils DFT) • Coating of Exterior Tank Full exterior recoating may be bid as an alternative, at minimum areas impacted by floor replacement will be recoated. Coating System: Prime Coat: Sherwin-Williams Corothane I Galvapac 1K Zinc Primer (3 mils DFT) Finish Coat: Sherwin Williams Acrolon 218HS Polyurethane (4 mils DFT) • Project closeout and clean-up requirements and warranty of the improvements.
