Description

The intent is for the contractor to perform tree trimming of Palmetto trees throughout the City. The locations are on two separate lists: 1) Street Ends& Boat Landings and 2) Landscapes and Parking Lots. Scope of trimming includes removal of any dead or broken fronds, all seed heads and any loose boots from trunk of palm. Do not trim live fronds over 45 degrees so heads remain as full as possible. In cases where clusters of palms are intertwined, selective thinning may be needed to limit rubbing of fronds and damage. Use traffic control where necessary. All debris created is the responsibility of the contractor. Only after debris is removed and area blown, may contractor reopen location and move to close the next location. Only one location may be closed, at a time, during maintenance activity. Remove any dead or broken fronds and all seed heads. Do not trim any dead palms. Do not trim live fronds over 45 degrees so head remains as full as possible. Use traffic control where necessary and only close one parking lot at a time.
