Above Ground Scales

Provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials and incidentals necessary to furnish and install two (2) above ground scales. 1. Install two (2) above ground scales at the Regional Landfill located at 1 Bob Foeller Drive, Suffolk, VA. 2. The total price submitted shall include the removal of existing scale, new scale price, installation, calibration, freight, required permits, additional support for the mounting of equipment and any equipment necessary to complete the job such as crane rental. This is to be a turn-key job. 3. Minimum requirements shall include the following: (a) 11’ x 70’ above ground steel deck truck scale. (b) Minimum 90,000 LB concentrated load and 200,000 LB total load. (c) Above ground pier foundation with washout slabs between piers. (d) Stainless steel load cells. (e) Digital Communication between instrument and load cells. (f) Remote LED Display. (g) Traffic Lights. (h) Onscreen Integrated traffic Control. (i) Ticket printer. (j) Safety Yellow Guide Rails. (k) Stainless steel sheathing on all cabling. (l) Moisture/Dust and rodent control. (m) Diagnostic and monitoring capabilities. (n) Advanced Surge protection. (o) Include all cables and materials necessary to connect to existing system. (p) USB output for connection for existing scale software to automatically capture and process truck weight. RS232C data Outputs, Ethernet and USB connectivity. (q) Scale must be compatible with existing software system. Software in use is Paradigm Weigh Station. (r) Scales must be fully automated. (s) Must meet state weights and measures criteria.
