Description | Black Main - Gym AHU - DX Coil Replacement and CU installation - Various Trades Vendor (over $25,000 vendors) PLA for work over 25K 02-07-2023 All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing Provide Labor and Materials: - Demolition 1) Remove all existing refrigerant piping within Mechanical Penthouse including all associated hangers, supports, valving, insulation, etc. 2) Remove existing DX coil from AHU, taking care to not damage other unit elements. 3) Remove all control sensors and wiring from DX coil and unit needed for install of new coil. - New Work 4) Provide new 17.5 Ton Condensing unit on roof above Penthouse, located a minimum of 8'-0" from any edge of roof. Mount on new Equipment rails (12" minimum). 5) Provide new pipe portal for new refrigerant piping and electrical conduit for power and controls. 6) Provide local disconnect switch on roof mounted to new CU. Power to be run from existing source that powered previous unit. 7) Provide 120V convenience outlet on roof for maintenance usage, wired separately from Penthouse. 8) Provide new DX cooling coil for Gym AHU to fully cool 7,000 CFM. Existing coil is roughly 108"x40". Verify new coil size in field and provide insulated sheet metal blank-off if required. 9) Run new refrigerant piping to/from new roof mounted CU through new pipe portal. 10) Provide all required piping, valving, vent, etc. per details and required by City of Chicago Building Code. 11) Provide new control elements, sensors and to existing system as needed. 12) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 13) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 14) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 15) Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on a) SECTION 23 82 00 Convection Heating and Cooling Units b) SECTION 23 81 26.13 Small-Capacity Split-System Air Conditioners c) SECTION 23 23 00 Refrigerant Piping d) SECTION 23 07 19 HVAC Piping Insulation 16) Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day. 17) If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. 18) Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. 19) All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. 20) Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. 21) All trash must be removed off-site by contractor. 22) Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. 23) All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing |
