Description

The Owner intends to enter into a CM/GC agreement with the selected contractor for preconstruction phase services. These services include design review, providing recommendations to the design team regarding constructability, risk reduction, potential cost savings and/or project enhancements, schedule evaluation, cost estimation at various phases of design, and preparation of a guaranteed maximum price to furnish all materials, equipment and labor and performing all work for construction of the project. If the Owner and Contractor agree on the guaranteed maximum price at the conclusion of the preconstruction services phase, the Owner intends to issue a Notice to Proceed to the CM/GC for the construction of the project. PRE-QUALIFICATION: Contractors are required to submit qualifications as part of their CM/GC proposal. The Owner will evaluate the qualifications of all contractors, including those not selected as the CM/GC, in order to prequalify contractors for the construction of the Project. In the event that the Owner and the selected CM/GC cannot agree on the guaranteed maximum price at the conclusion of the preconstruction services phase, the Owner reserves the right to solicit bids for construction of the Project from the other contractors that are prequalified at this time. The project consists of the construction of a 60 MGD water polishing plant, associated yard piping, residual handling facilities and modifications to the existing office building. The polishing facility will feature a pre-engineered steel building and skid-mounted pressure vessels. The project will also include tying into the existing chlorination system and the construction of a new vault for chlorination as well as all other associated piping, HVAC, electrical, paving, site work and other associated items for a complete and functional facility. The preconstruction services phase is anticipated to begin in August 2022 and conclude in March 2023. Construction of the project is anticipated to occur over a 22-month period between April 2023 and February 2025. The work is located at 45 West 1600 North Vineyard, Utah 84059 at the Owners Vineyard Complex. All communication related to the project shall be directed to the Owner prior to submitting a proposal: Caitlyn Mayfield, P.E., Project Manager Central Utah Water Conservancy District 1426 E. 750 N., Ste. 400 Orem, Utah 84097-5474 Phone: (801) 226-7149 Email: caitlyn@cuwcd.com The Central Utah Water Conservancy District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any formality, or technicality in a proposal, and to make award based on the selection criteria listed in the RFP as deemed in the best interests of the Owner, or the public good.
