Description | Question Deadline 09/22/2023 at 2:00 PM PT Last Day for Pre-Bid RFIs - project related questions shall be submitted via the District's eProcurement Portal Q&A feature. The scope of this project includes the maintenance painting of the following buildings located in Santa Clarita 1. Warehouse including loading dock area and metal overhang: Address: 21445 Centre Pointe Parkway 2. Portable classrooms and bathroom buildings (3): Address: 21445 Centre Pointe Parkway 3. Transportation Building: Address: 21429 Centre Pointe Parkway 4. Maintenance building overhang and connecting tilt-up wall: Address: 21425 Centre Pointe Parkway 5. Upper school bus parking lot Tilt-up fence wall and rolling metal gates (2): Address: 21425 Centre Pointe Parkway 1. Pressure Washing: o All exterior facades of each building/area shall be pressure washed to remove remaining paint and provide a suitable surface for maximum paint adhesion. 2. Crack Preparation and Patching: o Existing cracks greater than 1/4 inch shall be "V" cut using a diamond grinding wheel. o Cracks shall be patched with rapid-set mortar mix. o Spot prime patched areas as needed. 3. Door and Ramp Painting: o All man doors, roll-up doors, and trash enclosures shall be painted. Paint all area 2 ramps with traction paint, and entire safety rails. 4. Exposed Rebar Treatment: o Any exposed rebar shall be ground down and patched to ensure a smooth surface. 5. Surface Masking: o Landscaping, glass windows, and signage shall be properly masked to prevent paint overspray. 6. Window and Door Caulking: o Caulk shall be applied around windows and door frames to create a water-resistant bond. 7. Metal Substrate Preparation: o Metal substrates shall be prepared by scraping all loose paint and sanding as necessary. o Spot prime with rust inhibitor primer. o Apply two coats of Protec Paint finish from Vista Paint brand. 8. Color Scheme: o Main body: Two coats of Vista "Quicksand" or district-approved equivalent. o Trim, Doors, and Gates: Two coats of Vista "Bunglehouse Grey" or districtapproved equivalent This project is being managed by Wm. S. Hart Union High School District, owner, single prime contractors possessing an active class-type license(s) as listed in the table below. Package . Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount equal to 10% of the maximum bid, in one of the following forms: (i) a cashier's or certified check payable to the District; or (ii) a bid bond.
