Adams Park Green Infrastructure 2021

The work covered by this specification consists of overall maintenance for the Adams Park Green Infrastructure Facility. As designed, Adams Park will act as a combination large wetland and stormwater detention basin. During typical “sunny” days, a permanent pool will be present up to an elevation of approximately 1074-ft to 1075-ft,.During rain events, stormwater will fill the basin through the outfall structure located at the south end of the park near 36th and Maple Street. After the event, dewatering of the pool occurs through the Basin Discharge Control Structure (BDCS), located at the north end of the park. For very large precipitation events the elevation of water may reach a maximum elevation of 1082-ft, which is the elevation of the auxiliary spillway of the dam. If this water elevation is reached, flows will overtop the dam embankment at the auxiliary spillway and flow down Bedford Ave. The site can be accessed from both the north and south ends of the park.
