Description | Drainage and erosion problem in the power plant parking area. The section of riverbank of concern is located below Flaming Gorge Dam on the east side of the river a short distance downstream of the 66-inch hollow-jet valves. This area has seen significant erosion over the years primarily due to operation of the hollow-jet valves and runoff from the employee parking space during significant rain events. The Contractor will comply with the attached State of Utah Department of Natural Resources Stream Alteration Permit 20-41-01SA Dated 9 June 2020 when filling the rock void. To mitigate this issue Reclamation requires installation of a 3’ reinforced concrete wall with a 3’ chain link fence to include barbed wire. In addition, Reclamation needs7 a rock void filled. Flaming Gorge is located approximately 40 miles North East of Vernal, Utah. |
