Description

The Project consists of: The Main Street Bridge replacement project (NHDOT No. 14933; Federal No. X-A002(107)) consists of replacing the 75` clear span stone-faced concrete rigid frame bridge. The work includes replacing the structure with a 47`-7" wide, 75` clear span rigid frame, replacing the northwest wingwall, and reconstructing a limited length of the retaining walls at the three remaining corners. The masonry facing of the existing bridge shall be removed and installed on the proposed bridge. A historic canal approximately 40` west of the bridge shall be sliplined with a 5` diameter polyethylene pipe, connected to a 10` diameter drainage manhole, and daylighted near the river with a 5` diameter polyethylene pipe. Roadway approach work will be limited to approximately 200` west and 50` east of the bridge. The roadway approach work to the east shall tie-in to the US Route 202 reconstruction work. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction on or about February 1, 2020 and complete construction on or about June 1, 2022.
