Description | **As of July 28, 2022, project was awarded to R.E. Pierson Construction Company, awarded amount is $1,013,916.26.** The project will consist of the replacement of ail existing cmp storm pipe throughout the project. The work Shall include removing the existing pipe, installing the newly designated pipe, backfilling all pipe trenches within The limits of the road with controlled low strength material and the placement of 6” of hot mix asphalt base Course. Existing materials shall be utilized as pipe backfill outside of the road bed. Existing guiderail shall be Removed as needed and re-installed after the pipe has been replaced. All topsoil, seeding, fertilizing and Mulching shall be inclusive in the cost of the pipe, unless otherwise called out on the plans. The cleaning and Video inspection of all existing rcp storm pipe throughout the project shall be performed. Driveways Removed/damaged during the pipe installation shall be replaced. This also goes for all concrete curb adjacent To drainage structures. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to have the utilities located before any excavation takes place and To exercise caution when excavating. The contractor at his expense shall repair any damage to utilities caused By construction. Any construction items that are designated "If and where directed", the actual quantity thereof shall be determined In the field by the engineer. The contractor shall be required to implement a traffic control plan. The traffic control plan must be based on The minimum requirements provided in the current manual on uniform traffic control devices (m.U.T.C.D.). Traffic Along the roadways shall be maintained by way of lane shifts and alternating traffic, through various stages of Construction, as noted in the supplemental specifications. Ah restoration and cleanup associated with the pipe replacement and rip rap placement shall be included in the Contract items performed at each location.
