Description | Demolish all receptacles and devices in the area of work and as noted on plans. Remove existing conductors back to source. Existing raceways may be re-used and modified as needed. Provide new lighting as shown on the plans and fixture schedule. Area to include Ground floor, 1st floor west wing and restrooms for the entire building. Provide new lighting controls including a mix of switches, occupancy sensors and room controllers. Daylight harvesting to be provide as required by code and where indicated on plans. Provide emergency lighting as needed with placing select fixtures on the existing generator. Emergency transfer relays to be utilized to allow switching of emergency fixtures. Provide receptacles and devices area of work and as noted on plans. Receptacles to be GFI with all devices black in color. Brass coverplates to be provided for all devices. Provide outlets for data connections along with blank outlets where noted on plans. Provide 1” conduit from outlet to accessible ceiling for all locations. System furniture connections to be provided by either wall mounted recessed enclosure with whip to furniture or poke thru assembly for furniture not adjacent to a wall. Power for receptacles in IT closets to come from UPS panels located in the basement. Provide power to automatic flush valves, faucets and hand dryers in all restrooms. Provide power to new IT closet ductless split systems located on the roof of the building. All power wiring to devices and equipment be new from existing panels. Existing breakers to be utilized for new circuits. Provide fire alarm devices where noted on the plans. Connect devices to the existing fire alarm system for the building. Telecommunications Work including: a. Submit required documentation to cable manufacturers to initiate project towards maximum warranty. b. Remove existing telecommunications cabling and hardware within area of construction as required, including existing telecommunication rooms. c. Furnish and install support infrastructure (e.g. conduits, tray, J-hooks, etc.) for telecommunications cabling. d. Provide rated penetrations of walls and floors as required for cabling. e. Furnish and install firestop assemblies of rated penetrations. f. Coordinate installation of shared devices with electrical contractor (e.g. floor pokethrus). g. Furnish and install racks and support infrastructure in new telecommunications spaces. h. Coordinate locations for new backbone cable terminations in existing telecommunication rooms. i. Furnish and install backbone cabling between telecommunication rooms. j. Furnish and install grounding infrastructure supporting new telecommunication rooms. k. Furnish and install horizontal copper cabling. l. Assist in installation of structured furniture regarding integrated cable pathways and cable placement. m. Terminate, label, and test all cabling. n. Test grounding system. o. Furnish and install patch cords and station cables as directed. p. Furnish all required close-out documentation to owner and to manufacturers as required. i. Provide Go-live support as required Security Work including: a. Furnish and install access control panels. b. Connect devices to access control panels c. Furnish and install low voltage power supplies. d. Furnish and install card readers. e. Pull access control cabling. f. Furnish and install door contacts. g. Furnish and install PIRs. h. Integrate electrified locking hardware with access control system. i. Remove and reinstall existing access control devices as required. j. Program access control endpoints within access control system. k. Test and commission new access controlled doors with system. |
