Description | All work on this contract shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days. The work of this Contract includes milling, hot mix asphalt paving, concrete curb, concrete driveways, ADA ramps, drainage, striping and restoration of the project area on County Route 29A (Myrtle Avenue), Allenhurst Avenue and Avon Avenue. and acceptable to the Borough of Oceanport and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of the Borough of Oceanport for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required. All bid proposals will be date and time stamped upon receipt. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the bid proposal and no bids shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receiving bids. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Borough of Oceanport in a lawful manner. Please be advised that State funds through the New Jersey Department of Transportation Trust Fund are being utilized for this project. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred, or disqualified are excluded from participating on this project. The Borough or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27. B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.A.A. 34:5A-1). E. Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran as required by N.J.S.A 40A:11-2.1 Moreover, the bid must be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, C.33, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). |
