Description | This project is funded through the Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWPP) of the USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Catastrophic wildfires that occurred in April-July 2022 caused damage to private property and infrastructure in San Miguel and Mora Counties, New Mexico. The wildfire resulted in impairment of the watersheds, posing a threat to life and property. This project addresses the protection and stabilization of critical infrastructure. Work in this contract will consist of installation of flood barriers, earth diversions, woody debris removal, and sediment debris removal. The locations and quantities of these work items are listed in the chart shown in Section 3. All work will be performed in accordance with the contract clauses, the attached drawings and specifications, and in compliance with Federal, State, County, Tribal, and local laws.
