BNGC Window Replacement

The project will be constructed under a single prime contract in a single sequenced phase. The project scope includes the selective demolition and the removal of defective impact resistant glazing for all existing exterior curtainwall frames and storefront door, and proper disposal of existing glazing. The project is located at the in-use Commonwealth Emergency Operation Center, it is imperative to minimize disruptions to the works in this essential-use facility at all times. The removal of glazing must be sequenced thus that it corresponds to the glass replacement that can be conducted on the same day. The project is comprised of impact resistant laminated glazing installed within an existing curtainwall framing system that requires specialized coordination between the glazing manufacturer, fabricator, and installer. The project includes removal and re-installation of a small area of the Johns-Manville roof gravel stop in compliance with the roof warranty.
