To provide Vegetation Management Services. To a height of 4- to 6-inches and includes all work required to cut the vegetation, including saplings/suckers less than or equal to 1/2 inch in diameter. The specifications for this BID item are more specifically defined as follows: 1. All trash and debris must be removed and disposed of from mowing limits prior to starting mowing operations, but no earlier than one day prior to mowing. 2. CONTRACTOR shall remove any debris that has been shredded by mowing operations. Mowing debris and cuttings must be swept or blown from the maintenance trail and/or sidewalk after each day’s mowing operation. All clippings that accumulated debris against trash racks, inlet grates, etc. must be removed at the end of each day’s mowing operations. 3. It is expected that portions of areas adjacent to structures and channels will not be accessible to standard power-driven mowing machines and may have to be mowed with hand-held equipment. These areas include but are not limited to saturated sites; vegetation overhanging curbs, sidewalks, and trails; and along fence lines. No special payment will be made for the inability of standard mowing equipment to access the work, the lack of an adequate trail or road to reach the work, the lack of a stabilized mowing surface, or the difficulty of mowing near bridges or other drainage structures.
