Description

As of March 10, 2023, bids received were rejected. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. Bidder instructions: Please note to anyone that does wish to bid on the project that they would have to acquire a hard copy from our office and be registered as a plan holder; that is when the fees will apply. Copies of the bid package may be obtained from the City of Ashland, Engineering Division, 206 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.Each Holder of Bidder Documents MUST be recorded with the Owner PRIOR to bid opening. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The City intends and requires that this project be completed no later than August 31, 2023. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. The Engineers Estimate is One Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand dollars $ 185,000.00. This project is part of the City s PY21 Community Development Block Grant Direct Allocation Program. Attention of bidders is called to the Instructions to Bidders and all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The right is reserved to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities should it be deemed to be for the best interest of the City of Ashland, Ohio to do so.
