Description | a. Removal of existing current transformers located on existing circuits that are monitored by the BWS SCADA system within the Beretania Microbiology Laboratory. b. Install new control panel and voltage monitoring relays on the circuits in the Microbiology Laboratory. c. Connect new control panel back to existing BWS SCADA system. B. The scope of work identified in this section is the minimum required experience as it pertains to the contractor questionnaire in the Bid Solicitation. a. Installation and testing of custom control panels that interface with a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Control panels should include control relays, power supply, indicator lights, switches, power and control wiring, and other appurtenant work. Bidders contemplating submission of bids based on substitute materials must obtain written permission from the Board of Water Supply (BWS). Lists of substitute materials together with qualifying data shall be submitted for approval ten (10) calendar days prior to the date set for the opening of bids, as evidenced by the time stamp of the BWS. Requests for approval of substitute materials shall be submitted to the Procurement Office, Board of Water Supply, 630 South Beretania Street, Rm. 201, Honolulu, Hawaii 96843 via email at FN_Procurement@hbws.org Requisition Nbr: R2024000001 Document Nbr: D2024000005 QUESTIONS: Vendors having questions regarding the project must submit them in writing to the Contact Person. Questions must be received no later than 10 calendar days prior to the bid closing date. Prior to starting work, the Contractor shall obtain all required permits and licenses, pay all charges, fees, and taxes, give all notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations affecting this project. Pursuant to Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (ROH) Section 14-17.1( c ) (3)(B). BWS is exempt from having to pay for trenching permit fees. All Contractors who are contracted by BWS to work on city streets do not have to pay the trenching permit fee when applying for the trenching permit with the City and County of Honolulu. The BWS reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive all defects and to eliminate or delete from the Contract any ITEM NUMBER or any work included under any LUMP SUM bid or UNIT PRICE bid or any part of any UNIT PRICE bid in the Proposal. No payment shall be made for the deleted work. Estimated budget: $1,000 to $500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
