Description

As of October 31, 2022, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Affirmative Action Goals are 20% MBE, 10% WBE, 10% SBE and 3% VBE, The contact person for the request for proposal is Jay Shetty, Senior Civil Engineer. This contact person will provide online responses to online inquiries. Any questions regarding the downloading of Request for Proposal documents should be directed to contractdesk@mwrd.org or call (312) 751-6643.The District reserves the right to accept any Request for Proposal or any part thereof or to reject any and all Request for Proposals. The contract is divided, for the purposes of bidding, into two groups: Group A (Pre-Construction Design Services) and Group B (Post Award Design Services). The estimated costs for the requested services for Group A is $5,000,000 and Group B is $3,000,000. The estimated cost for both Groups is $8,000,000. A bid deposit is not required to submit a Proposal. The anticipated service period for the Group A services will begin upon the award of the purchase order and continue for 24 months. The anticipated service period for the Group B services will begin upon the award of the corresponding construction contract and completion of the Group A services, and shall continue for 36 months. It is understood that this is only an estimate and that proposals received may be significantly different. The cost proposal is one element of evaluation and selection. Although a factor, cost is not the overriding basis of award. The purpose of the Voluntary Technical Pre-Bid meeting is to review the scope of work, to provide for identification and discussion of potential problems that might arise during the administration of this Contract and seek clarification of technical or procedural aspects of this Contract. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the meeting. Also, suppliers must give their contact information to register prior to entering the Zoom Pre-Bid meeting. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
