Description | Rehabilitate Hangar Access Taxiways For general information or questions, please contact Katie Adkins directly at 317.487.8578 All bids shall be accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the contract amount. Original copy of the bid bond will be requested from the successful bidder immediately following the bid opening. Contractors awarded a contract will be required to furnish acceptable surety bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Said performance, material and payment bond shall remain in effect for twelve (12) months after the date of the Owner's final acceptance of Contractor's work. Should a successful bidder withdraw their bid or fail to execute a satisfactory contract within seven (7) days the Indianapolis Airport Authority may declare the bid deposit forfeited The Indianapolis Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. This work for Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport consists of bituminous profile milling, bituminous pavement repairs, placement of bituminous leveling and surface course, shoulder adjustment and landscaping with seed and mulch, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work for the Hangar Access Taxiways (Taxiways B and C). Bituminous pavement repairs will consist of full depth patching (removal and replacement of bituminous pavement and subgrade materials) at locations designated by the Engineer. After patching is complete, all pavements within the project area will be milled, 3.5"+/- depth. After milling, cracks greater than 1/4 inch and less than 1-1/2-inch wide will be filled with crack sealant per ASTM D6690. Cracks larger than 1- 1/2" wide will be filled with hot-applied mastic sealant. All pavements in the project area will receive 1-1/2" HMA Leveling Course and 2" HMA Surface Course. Pavement markings will be placed in two applications, with a minimum of 30 days between each application. Additive Alternate 1 is the installation of a perforated underdrain system as shown in the Plans. The system will include inspection holes and a direct connection to the existing storm sewer system. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and material necessary to complete the work |
