Brick Shed Roof Renovations

The Work to be performed for the Brick Shed Roof Renovations Project will consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the renovation of an existing roof, which includes complete removal of the existing asphalt shingle roof and underlayment, complete removal of existing modified bitumen roofing and underlayment, removal of certain joists and replacement with new joists; and, installation of new asphalt shingle roofing and bitumen roof all as designated on plans. Base and Alternate Bids are provided for this project. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the responsive Bidder with the lowest Total Bid Price for either the Base Bid or Alternate Bid. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 9/9/2022 4:00 PM Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this projects and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Reading Area Water Authority, Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received.
