Description

Shall include, but not be limited to, construction of new legs of the 1-295 Southbound Ramps (Exit IB) providing access to/from Bald Hill Road (Rte, 2) Northbound and the Rhode Island Mall, widening Bald Hill Road (Rte. 2) Northbound to provide an exclusive left-turn lane, resurfacing approximately 400 feet of the exiting 1-295 Southbound Ramps (Exit IB), resurfacing approximately 600 feet of Bald Hill Road (Rte, 2), replacement of the existing traffic signal equipment, addition of new pedestrian signal equipment, and striping, landscaping, and stormwater improvements. The improvements associated with the resurfacing work will generally consist of micro-milling the existing pavement and placement of Hot Mix Asphalt. Drainage improvements will consist of new drainage structures on the new ramps to accommodate new drainage patterns. Sand filter systems are proposed within the Route 2 center median and adjacent to the new ramps to provide water quality treatment of roadway pavement. Other roadway items include adjustment and replacement of roadway utility structures (such as frame & cover, frames & grates, gate valve boxes, etc.) to grade, cleaning & flushing pipes and drainage structures,
