Description | 1. Scope: The Contractor shall furnish and install thirteen (13) new solar powered street lights in the Cottonwood Gardens subdivision located along the north side of Cottonwood Lane at Suncrest Avenue. The finished work shall result in a complete solar powered street light system fully functional or its intended purpose. 2. Design: The Contractor is responsible for the design of the solar powered street lights including: a. Solar Power: The solar power system (panel and battery) for each street light shall provide power to illuminate throughout the night without dimming or shutting off. b.Foundation: Sufficient foundation to support the street light and all its associated loads under local weather and soil conditions. c. Wind Rating: The solar powered street lights and the attachments to the poles shall be designed to meet or exceed ASCE/SEI 7-10 specifications for the appropriate wind exposure event for Casa Grande, AZ, with a minimum design to withstand a 100-mph wind event. d. Compatibility: Compatibility of all components so they function together and as intended to provide a fully functional solar powered street light. e. Temperature Range: System must be designed to operate at a temperature range from -10 degrees F to +140 degrees F. f. Power consumption: 40 to 60 watts. |
