Description | Stream restoration along 2,840 feet of the Wissahickon Creek through Cedarbrook Country Club. Project is split into 3 different areas. Majority of the work is along the creek without impact to the golf course greens. Access available via the existing paved cart paths. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 5/15/2023 2:00 PM The Bids will be received for the following Contract: WISSAHICKON CREEK STABILIZATION AND ENHANCEMENT - Phase 2 The contract involves the bio-engineered stabilization of stream banks along the Wissahickon Creek, including the following: 1. Use of well-graded stone for toe protection. 2. Grading of embankments with erosion control fabric and a combination of woody and herbaceous plants. 3. Geotextile Soil Wrap with brush layering. This Project was financed in part by a Grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, paragraph 14- Bid Submission. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of Whitpain Township in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. This Project is subject to Ordinance No. 394, Responsible Contractor Ordinance. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants. Whitpain Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted; and reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. |
