Litter Pickup Services for Community Service

Scope: The project includes providing litter pickup services for the Henry County Community Service Department. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and litter disposal as required to fulfill the terms and conditions of this proposal. The successful vendor shall have adequate personnel to provide litter pickup services for approximately 250 miles of secondary roadsides within the boundaries of the Henry County jurisdiction including minimal areas that may meander throughout the city limits in some sections. Litter is described as general paper, plastic, minor construction material, and household trash. Services will be provided up to two times per month per road on an annual basis as needed to maintain an aesthetically pleasing, litter free appearance. The successful vendor shall provide adequate manpower to remove general litter and debris from the right-of-way of designated roadways on a twice monthly basis. ROW areas are generally considered to be within 15 ft. of each side of the road and includes any medians where present. Area of each road to be serviced is indicated by the “starting” to “ending” points on the Cost Proposal. Services will include removing all general litter from the roadsides that can be bagged or easily disposed of. Any large items such as furniture, mattresses, tires, or massive dumpsites shall be reported to the Community Service Department for resolution. Contractor is responsible for all materials, equipment, and supplies needed to complete this service in a safe and timely manner as well as disposal of litter retrieved.
