On-Call Airside Civil Engineering Services for John Glenn Columbus International, Rickenbacker International and Bolton Field Airports

The services may include, but are not limited to, the following: Geo-technical investigation and surveys Surveying Design of new, and repairs of, asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavement in conformance with FAA standards Preparation of safety/phasing plans and maintenance of traffic in accordance with FAA standards Preparation of material specifications in accordance with FAA standards Design of new, and repairs of, runway and/or taxiway edge light systems in accordance with FAA standards Site work design (storm drainage, grading, etc.) and storm water analysis in accordance with FAA and City of Columbus standards Various levels of cost estimating Project scheduling Life Cycle Analysis Airspace analysis and any associated FAA submittals Knowledge and experience conducting Safety Assessment Screenings (SAS) and facilitating Safety Risk Management (SRM) panels in accordance with FAA standards Meeting coordination and attendance Necessary outside agency (city, state, federal) coordination Development of construction documents Assistance with bidding/bid process management A/E Services during construction, including inspection/observation during construction and acceptance materials testing in accordance with applicable standards Airside aircraft movement modeling for parking and gate allocation, taxi flow, runway crossing, runway entry/exit selection, deicing procedures, push/pull procedures, etc. Assistance and coordination of grant application submissions in accordance with FAA standards Determination of pavement classification number (PCN) for all types of pavement. Design of new and/or repairs of existing Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS), including but not limited to runway approach lighting systems and instrument landings systems Other related activities.
