A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Monroe Township Board of Education, hereby advertises for competitive bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(a) (b) for Bid No. 00-02 CAFETERIA EXPANSION AT THE WILLIAMSTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL Bidding documents will be e-mailed to a prospective bidder upon receipt of the request, which must reference the Bid Number and include the bidders company name, company address, company telephone and facsimile numbers, the name of the bidders contact, and associated email address. It is the responsibility of the bidder to print required forms included in the bid package. Please submit complete proposal as one (1) signed original; one (1) signed copy; and one (1) electronic copy on USB or disk. The Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids at this time. The envelope to bear the following information: Title: CAFETERIA EXPANSION AT THE WILLIAMSTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL Bid Number 00-02 Name and Address of the Bidder Contractors shall meet and check in at the Williamstown High School Main Office. Bids may also be submitted to the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary or his designee at the bid opening meeting, prior to the advertised date and time. On the advertised date and time, the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary shall publicly receive and open all bids. No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement. (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(b)). The Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids at this time. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to cpiccininni@becicaassociates.com and will be responded thru addenda through email or facsimile. Project Milestone Dates Final date for questions to the ArchitectFriday, October 21, 2022, 5:00 p.m. Date of issuance of Addendum (if necessary) Tuesday, October 25, 2022 Receive bids Thursday, November 3, 2022, 10:00 a.m. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq." Contractors bidding on this project are to comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to submit a bid for the project, at a minimum, the bidder and/or the bidder's sub-contractors shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in the following disciplines: C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction Alterations and Additions; C029 Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron, Plumbing, C032 HVACR, and C047 Electrical. A bidder on a public works project for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000.00 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27 through 33, and shall submit with his bid a Prequalification Affidavit-No Material Adverse Change, a copy of a valid and active NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION, a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form and such Affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted by him, there has been no material adverse change in his qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit. The Board also requires that each bidder submit with his bid documentation demonstrating proof of participation in a registered apprenticeship program as defined in and required by the Public Works Contractor Registration Act's and its implementing regulations. [N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.52(6) & (7); N.J.A.C. 12:62-2.1(h)]. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000.00. Statement of Ownership Requirement: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, Bidders shall submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms, may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. All contractors named in this proposal, shall possess a valid and current New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., at the time the proposal is received by the Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 (c), 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A-4(a-c), 18A:18A-22, and to waive minor or non-material informalities that may be in the best interests of the Board of Education.
