Description | Written Questions Due 09/30/2022 at 03:00pmapproved Equals Due 09/30/2022 at 03:00pm Response to Written Questions 10/04/2022 GRTC would like to establish a 3 year with 2, 1 year options contract for the manufacturing of transit shelters, benches and trash cans. 1. Introduction GRTC is the primary public transportation provider for the Richmond region. The company is a not-forprofit public service corporation jointly owned by the City of Richmond, Chesterfield County, and Henrico county. in transit infrastructure to include shelters, benches, and trash cans year over year. 2. Task Order Goals GRTC seeks bids from qualified contractors to manufacture shelters, benches, and trash cans for installation at local bus stops on an as needed basis. Bidders are not required to bid on all three task orders. GRTC can award to multiple bidders. 2.1. Shelters GRTC has coordinated with its riders and jurisdictional stakeholders to select a new shelter design for use throughout the system. Potential shelters needed to: be aesthetically compatible with existing BRT Pulse Stations, offer the range of display and design elements chosen by jurisdictional stakeholders, and have the the capability for manufacture/installation in a variety of sizes and wall configurations (so that shelters can be installed in a variety of sites while maintaining ADA compliance) Information, materials, and handling and delivery requirements for the approved shelters are attached as Exhibit A: SPECIAL PROVISION FOR TRANSIT SHELTER AND SEATING. 2.2. Trash Cans The trash cans approved for installation in the GRTC service area are 36-gallon steel slatted cans with removable plastic liner and removable rain bonnet. Trash cans are bolted to the ground. Information, materials, and handling and delivery requirements are attached as Exhibit B: SPECIAL PROVISION FOR TRASH CAN. 2.3. Benches The benches approved for installation in the GRTC service are slatted steel with optional middle armrest.
