Description

Provide labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to construct the project per construction drawings and construction document. Summary of scope includes but not limited to: Paint walls, paint new ceiling element, replace carpet tiles and cove bases, provide and install new window shades. Demolish existing house lights and associated accessories. Install and commission new house lights. House lights fixtures will be provided by University (owner furnished, contractor installed). House lights fixtures type and quantities are listed on sheet E-602, lighting fixture schedule, items B1, B2, H1, and H2. Demolish suspended stage lighting pipes and suspension. Remove and salvage DMX data jacks, and remove data wires. Disconnect stage lighting, cables, and save for reinstallation as directed per construction drawings. Provide and install 1 12" ID schedule 40 steel pipes and suspend from structure for stage lights installation Provide, install, and commission new stage lights and required accessories. Stage lights and required accessories are listed on sheet E-115. Provide, install, and commission eight (8) motorized drapery roll drop as shown and detailed on construction drawings. The following General Contractors have been prequalified to submit sealed bids on this project: B.R. Building Resource Company, Glendora, CA 91740 Ian Thomas Group, North Hollywood, CA 91605 JR Universal Construction, Inc., Los Angeles, CA 90038 JSB Builders, INC., Irvine, CA 92614 The successful Contractor will be required to have the following California contractor's license active at the time of submission of the Bid: B, GENERAL BUILDING The successful Contractor and its Subcontractors shall be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at location of work. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid for this project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded any portion of this project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
