Splashpad Concrete Expansion project

Project Description The scope of work for the project is shown on the attached sketch and involves the excavation, fill, and grading of the existing dirt surrounding the splashpad to provide for a 4 inch thick compacted aggregate base and a 4 inch thick concrete pad with thickened edge of the dimensions shown.Following the removal of forms, backfill shall be placed and the surrounding area will be graded to match the adjacent ground followed by restoration with fertilizer, seed, and straw.The contractor should be aware that the splashpad features are supplied by underground PVC pipes of various sizes located between the north edge of the existing concrete and the control box. Equipment shall not be driven over the pipes in order to prevent any damage. Completing the work in this manner shall be the responsibility of the contractor and he or she should adjust the proposal accordingly. Project Schedule Work for this project is expected to begin as soon as possible and is estimated to require no more than five (5) working days to complete. The contractor will be issued a notice to proceed following the submission of a Certificate of Insurance showing the Village of Godfrey as an additional insured.
