Description

The purpose of this Bid is to secure the services of a construction contractor specializing in the field of Sewer, Sanitation and Water Construction Services on an as needed and emergency basis. No minimum contract amount is promised. The work will be assigned by Pierce County by purchase order number, addressing scope of work and required time of completion. Work shall be performed in accordance with any product manufacturer’s technical specifications and industry best practices. Work locations are throughout Pierce County. Contractors must have the capability to service the County by providing material, labor and all necessary equipment Successful vendor must be a State of Washington Licensed Commercial General Contractor for a minimum of 3 years and employ staff at a level that demonstrates the capacity to accomplish multiple jobs concurrently Contractor shall obtain all required permits and licenses and give any notices these call for. The County will support the Contractor in efforts to obtain a temporary operating permit in its name if: 1. A local rule or an agency policy prevents issuing the permit to a private firm, 2. The Contractor takes all action to obtain the permit, 3. The permit will serve the public interest, 4. The Contractor agrees in writing: (a) to comply with all the issuing agency requires, and (b) to hold the County harmless for any work-related liability incurred under the permit, and 5. The permit costs the County nothing The County reserves the right to verify equipment usage rates are reasonable and within industry standards or require price revisions to industry standards. ierce County for the performance of the work, shall be reimbursed at cost, plus 15 percent mark-up. The County reserves the right to provide specialized or protective equipment. In this case, the Contractor will receive no payment for any costs, overhead, or profit arising from the value of the equipment. Bidder has received training on the requirements related to public works and prevailing wage under chapter 39.04 and chapter 39.12 RCW or are exempt from the training per RCW 39.04.350 All questions must be submitted through electronically, under the Question & Answer Tab not later than 4:00 PM, June 26, 2023. Bidders must be registered in the Procurement Portal in order to submit questions.
