Mitchell Avenue Paving

The project consists of roadway reconstruction and paving improvements on Mitchell Avenue in Big Run Borough, Jefferson County. A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as obligee County of Jefferson in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must be deposited with the proposal. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract and submit evidence of its qualifications to perform the work. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. These goals are 5% for minorities and 3% for women. Bidders must document their efforts to solicit MBE/WBE and Section 3 participation on Form STD 286 which is provided in the Contract Documents. The Jefferson County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the County to be in their best interest.
