Description

Construction Cost Range: $235,000 to $275,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Replacement of split system heat pumps and a packaged heat pump with new units as detailed on the drawings and specifications. BID SECURITY IS REQUIRED IN AN AMOUNT NOT LESS THAN 5% OF THE BASE BID. PERFORMANCE AND LABOR & MATERIAL PAYMENT BONDS: The successful Contactor will be required to provide Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Inc, A/E CONTACT: Gene Wilson EMAIL: meca@mecainc.com The scope of this project is replacement of split system heat pumps and a packaged heat pump with new units as detailed on the drawings and specifications. A more detailed, but not exhaustive or inclusive list of scope requirements is shown below. The contractor shall review drawings and specifications carefully to determine the complete scope of the project and not depend solely on the description below. The following list is meant to serve as a general description of the scope of the project. B. Replace split system heat pumps and a packaged heat pump as shown on the drawings and all items required for a complete and operating system. C. Replace exhaust fans where indicated on the plans. D. Modify/Add ductwork as herein specified and as indicated on mechanical drawings. E. Insulate all ductwork, piping, and equipment as herein specified and as indicated on mechanical drawings. Spring-type vibration isolators are not required. F. Exposed outdoor refrigerant lines to be replaced through the elbow at the existing below-slab refrigerant raceway conduits. Insulate and enclose with weather-tight jacket. Pressure test and clean existing refrigerant piping per manufacturer's recommendations prior to connection to new equipment. G. Start, test, adjust, balance and place into operation all systems via 3rd party T & B subcontractor under this contract. Extent of work for requirements indicated in specifications pertain to the systems and associated ductwork mains within the mechanical rooms. System air balance is to be accompanied with certified test forms as to obtained air quantities. Proper fan performance and coil discharge air temperature reading shall also be certified on test forms. H. Electrical power and controls power for the new mechanical systems. Confirm air handler and condensing unit power entry requirements and voltage for each prior to shop drawing phase and equipment order. I. Confirm thermostat locations with the agency prior to rough-in. Controls wiring shall be 120 volts or less. Provide transformers and relays as required to comply with this requirement. Conduit shall be steel conforming to the requirements of the Electrical Specifications, except as otherwise specified. J. Smoke detector operation where applicable to be confirmed. This applies to units of 2000 CFM and larger that shall be tested during inspection for compliance with IMC 606.2.1 Contact / coordinate with the existing fire alarm company to coordinate proper detector operation. K. The building is a community mental health facility and is occupied. Privacy will be maintained and enforced during the project duration. Under no circumstances are photos to be taken with staff or patients in the background
